About Early Start

We have two Early Start groups in our school.

The morning group come to school from 9.00 a.m. until 11.30 a.m.
The afternoon group come to school from 12.00 p.m. until 2.30 p.m.

Beanbag Fun!



Here is a DIY beanbag that is quick and easy to make. There are lots of fun activities that you can try using a beanbag to help develop balance, coordination and to get the body moving! 

You will need: 
  • Rice, dried beans or lentils 
  • An odd sock 
  • Elastic bands 

Simply fill the sock with your rice and use the elastic band to secure it and enjoy! 


Beanbag Activities 

Practice throwing your beanbag up in the air with 2 hands and catching it with 2 hands. See how many times you can throw and catch it without letting it fall! 

Shake your Beanbag

The children will remember this song from school. 


Beanbag Balance Challenge

Balance your beanbag on different parts of your body and try walk around without dropping it! Try your head, shoulders, arms, your foot and your back for a challenge!


Beanbag Toss

Throw the beanbag using an underarm throw. Try to throw the beanbag so it lands at your target.
