Painting is a fun and creative way for your child to express themselves and practice mark making and scribbling. If you have your own paints and paint brushes at home that is fantastic but if not, there are a number of great DIY paint recipes online and you can make your own paint together.
Here is a good one using ingredients you might already have at home.
While painting take the time to ask your child to identify the colours they are using and maybe ask them what they could paint using those colours.
Alternatively, you can try paint using coffee or tea and water.
No need to focus too much on the end product, the process and having fun is what matters!
